As first reported by Slate, all of the 16 Hollywood icons named Madonna’s “Vogue,” have now died after the passing of the great Lauren Bacall on Tuesday. Looks like the song that shaped my teenage years just got a little more sentimental.
“Ladies with an attitude, fellows that were in the mood…”
Yeah. So if you follow me on Twitter (cough, seriously you should be following me on Twitter) you will already know that last night was, like, incredible.
Tones and I hit the Madonna concert at the Air Canada Centre and it was pretty epic. It was the 10th time that I’ve seen Madge in concert over the years (my 3rd time seeing her front row) and for me it will always remain one of her most memorable productions. Yes, she may have called me “cute” at the Re-Invention Tour in 2004, but last night… the true highlight was singing ‘Like A Prayer’ into HER mic!
Watch below… you can see me in all my manic glory (along with Tones) singing into her mic.
Expect non-stop talking about the front row experience to follow.
Madonna’s video for Turn Up The Radio was released this morning.
High-waisted leather Balmain shorts, boobs pushed up in a La Perla by Jean Paul Gaultier push-up bra, seriously towering Louboutin pumps, a pair of Tom Ford cat eye sunglasses and ‘ 60s-style hair anchored by a black headband. Love.
This summer Lululemon and 889 have been hosting the Yoga Unplugged series at the Thompson Hotel here in Toronto. Last Saturday afternoon my friend Michael De Corte brought his Jock Yoga class (and a seriously booming Madonna soundtrack) to the third floor outdoor deck.
It was a crazy day, but somehow I made it just in time to strike a yoga pose.
(That’s me in the blue stripe tank and my friend Clay (although partially blocked) to the right in a red and blue tank.
