As first reported by Slate, all of the 16 Hollywood icons named Madonna’s “Vogue,” have now died after the passing of the great Lauren Bacall on Tuesday. Looks like the song that shaped my teenage years just got a little more sentimental.
“Ladies with an attitude, fellows that were in the mood…”

I’ve long been obsessed with the story of the late Alexander McQueen and his ‘muse’ Isabella Blow. Two of the most talented and tortured souls. I read countless articles, biographies and written extensively over the years about their complicated relationship.
In a Vanity Fair adaptation from her upcoming book, Champagne Supernovas, Maureen Callahan reveals the fascinating (albeit condensed) story how the two British talents lost the battle of their lives. Take a few minutes to read.
Yesterday I moved from one home and into a new home. After months of stress and looking and selling and buying… it’s all done.
This morning I woke up happy and realized, I am home.
It was a nice feeling.
Goodbye 1250. Hello 77.
Earlier this morning Ted Baker opened the doors to its first Canadian store at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Ted Baker’s first Canadian boutique is a part of Yorkdale’s $220,000 million dollar upgrade and it’s a playful space filled with menswear, womenswear, footwear, accessories and gift items.
As a long time fan of the coveted Brit fashion label, I was honoured to be asked to act as a brand ambassador at yesterday’s exclusive shopping experience and media preview. My Ted Baker ensemble? Well, I picked out a fitted purple two button blazer (Samchek) and navy bow tie from Ted Baker’s fall/winter 2012 “Survival of the Fittest” collection.
Ted Baker and the other retailers included in Yorkdale’s expansion opened for business early this morning. Try and swing by this weekend (November 16th – November 18th) for the in-store picnic… shoppers will have the chance to enter to win a $2,500 shopping spree!
I know I “shouldn’t” love this, but I do.
I can’t stop watching the “Gangnam Style” team dance from last night’s episode of Dancing With The Stars…
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd wearing towels (well mostly Gilles), Kirstie Alley doing cartwheels with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Emmitt Smith’s face when he pops up between Cheryl Burke’s legs, a shirtless Val Chmerkovskiy whipping Kelly Monaco around. Come on people… you can’t make this stuff up!
"Do you wanna leave soon?"
No, I want enough time to be in love with everything.
And I cry because everything is so beautiful and so short.
